Everyone says "parenting takes a village." But what if no one in your village speaks the same language (autism) as you? Has the same challenges as you? Has the same fears as you? We will be part of your village. Your partners in validating and addressing your worries about the future, communicating with and about your child to other family members, and balancing being supportive while also encouraging them to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Admissions

LIFE LAB Workshops are a series of twelve, 4-hour courses which aim to help older autistic teens and young adults develop valuable skills meaningful to them. Whether it is eating healthier, find a job, or living independently for the first time, these courses will provide multiple opportunities for goal setting, a structured and visual learning process, follow up action itemand celebration of success. Our hope is that the participants will make new connections enjoy the process of “adulting”.
